1. Eyozi Is Not an Emergency Service
Eyozi cannot get help to you.
We do not monitor the platform in real time. No person watches your account, your entries, or your meetups. We cannot dispatch anyone, contact authorities on your behalf, or intervene in any situation.
Never use Eyozi to request emergency assistance. Call 911.
2. Eyozi Is Not Healthcare
Eyozi does not provide medical care, mental health treatment, therapy, counseling, diagnosis, or professional advice of any kind.
Nothing in Eyozi — no feature, no message from another user, no quote, no piece of content — is professional advice or should be treated as a substitute for it.
Using Eyozi does not create a provider-patient, therapist-client, or counselor-client relationship with anyone.
Other users are not professionals. They are not trained, screened, or supervised, and nothing they say should be relied on as professional guidance.
If you are struggling, please reach out to a licensed professional or one of the resources listed above.
3. The Check-In Features Are Not Monitoring
Eyozi includes optional features that can notify a person you designate — including check-in monitoring, the ping button, and prompts sent during a scheduled meetup.
These are convenience tools. They are not a monitoring service, a protective service, or a guarantee that anyone will be notified or will help.
Any of these can fail:
- A missed check-in may not be detected
- An alert may not be sent, may be delayed, or may never arrive
- Notifications depend on carriers, providers, devices, and networks we don't control
- Location information may be wrong, outdated, or missing
- Software and services can fail without warning
Do not rely on any Eyozi feature as your only way of getting help. Keep an independent plan — a real person in your life who knows where you are — and contact emergency services directly when you need them.
4. Your Emergency Contact Has No Obligation
An Emergency Contact is someone you chose. They are not employed by, trained by, or accountable to Eyozi.
They may not receive an alert. They may not see it in time. They may not understand it. They may choose to do nothing. They may be unreachable.
Designating an Emergency Contact creates no duty on our part to monitor you, verify your wellbeing, or take any action if you don't check in.
5. Other Users Are Not Screened
We check one thing about the people you can meet: that they are 18 or older. Everyone with access to the community side of Eyozi has passed an age check before being allowed to pay for it.
That is the only thing we check.
We do not verify identity. We do not run background checks. We do not screen anyone. We do not confirm that a person's name, photograph, job, history, or anything else they tell you is true. A person with a history of violence, sexual offenses, or fraud can pass an age check, because an age check only establishes age.
Trust Scores are not safety ratings — see the Community Guidelines. Anyone may be misrepresenting who they are.
6. If You Are Worried About Another User
You may encounter someone on Eyozi who seems to be in crisis. This happens, and it matters how you respond.
- If you believe someone is in immediate danger, call 911.
- You can call or text 988 about someone else — the Lifeline supports people who are worried about another person, and can advise you on what to do.
- Share the resources above with them directly. A specific number is more useful than encouragement.
- Report serious concerns to us at info@eyozi.life. We may be able to act, though we cannot promise a specific response or outcome.
Please don't take on more than you can carry. You are not responsible for another person's safety, and you are not equipped to be their crisis counselor. Connecting someone to trained help is the most useful thing you can do.
7. What You Are Agreeing To
By using Eyozi, you acknowledge and agree that:
- Eyozi does not provide medical, mental health, or crisis services
- Eyozi cannot monitor you in real time or intervene in any emergency
- Check-in features and alerts may fail, and no notification is guaranteed
- An Emergency Contact may not receive an alert and has no obligation to act
- Other users are checked for age only, are otherwise unscreened, and Trust Scores are not safety ratings
- You are solely responsible for your own safety and decisions
- You will not rely on Eyozi for life-saving intervention or crisis response
- You will contact 911 or your local emergency services directly in any emergency
Sections 6, 7, 21, and 22 of the Terms and Conditions contain additional important limitations, including a release of claims and a limitation of liability.
8. Please Reach Out
Whatever brought you here, you don't have to sort it out alone. A licensed professional, a crisis line, a doctor, or someone who cares about you can help in ways an app can't.
Call or text 988. Text HOME to 741741. Call 911 if you're in danger.
